Move over Germany: Australia's beer celebration is about to let loose with a bigger and better two-day beer bash

Move over Germany: Australia's beer celebration is about to let loose with a bigger and better two-day beer bash. Claiming the title as the Sydney beer festival of the year, it will unite lovers of hops to discuss and drink all things brewed and fermented.
Held at the heritage Australian Hotel (where else) – renowned for its staunch support of Aussie beer – 100 different types of the amber nectar will be on offer to slurp and sip, including Skinny Blonde (a brew from the Vines' drummer, Hamish Rosser) as well as Barons, Little Creatures and Scharers, among others.
But it's not just the biceps that will get a workout – there will be seminars to educate those who thirst after beer and brewery knowledge; beer experts from around the country will be on hand to answer questions; and a People's Choice Best Beer On Show will be held on Saturday 25 October at 4pm. And you can soak it all up with a slice of pizza from the kitchen. Bottoms up!
The Australian Beer Festival is at the Australian Hotel in The Rocks on Sat 25 & Sun 26 Oct.
