Blanchett and Elle Macpherson.
Australia’s richest family, the
Packers, own a $30 million pink
palace on Ocean Road with a
40-metre beach frontage. Next
door is Kalua, a gigantic property
owned by enigmatic business
identity Ian Joye. It’s worth more
than $10 million but for a paltry
$33,000 a week, it’s yours.
Of course, Palm Beach is also
known to fans of Home and Away
as Summer Bay. The Palm Beach
Surf Club is used as the Summer
Bay Surf Club with Alf Stewart
name above the door. On the Pittwater
side of the beach you can
have a smoothie at the coffee
shop often captured on the small
