Introduce yourself. I'm a 37-year-old lawyer at the Crown Solicitor's office, from Blakehurst.

Nice suit. Where's it from? Satch. I've bought most of my suits in London.

That's a long way to go shopping.  I lived there for 10 years and have recently moved back. I have to wear suits for work. On the weekend I'll be in jeans and sandals but for work I don't really have a choice.

Why did you come back to Sydney? I missed my family. Sydney has changed a lot. I don't know if it was for better or for worse just yet. It's grown up a lot, it's become a lot more international, a bit more savvy. It's still quite a shallow city.

What do you mean by that? I remember someone saying being in Sydney is like dating a supermodel: you're in awe of how beautiful she is but if you want depth or intelligent conversation you're left disappointed. I read that in Time Out London.

Bah. You don't want to take any notice of them! Well, anyway, I think it's quite accurate.

Where do you like to go out? I don't drink because I'm Muslim, but I like the cafes in Glebe, Newtown, the markets and galleries...the Chocolate Dog in Newtown, The Old Fish Shop as well.

What do you like about the inner west? I don't like places that are too...clean. After 10 years in the UK,
it kind of reminds me of London.
