The Forum

The Cricketers Arms Hotel - But a stone's throw from Oxford St, a few yards from the Hopetoun and a brief stroll to the Entertainment Quarter, the Cricketers is more than convenient for dinner. Wet your whistle in the courtyard or take your posse upstairs for a pub dinner with tapas, salads and steak on offer daily.

The Annandale

Wok n Roll - The Annandale Hotel's in-house Thai kitchen is convenient, wallet-friendly and serves up some top notch nosh. The recently renovated outdoor area is roomy and perfect for groups gearing up for a show. Fresh ingredients, a simple menu and friendly staff make for a good dinner or a quiet pub lunch.

Beach Road Hotel

The Beach Road's restaurant marries wining and dining with simple dinner specials. Sea-dwelling Sydneysiders can ring in the warmer months with pizzas and pub fare that seldom break double digits. Follow it up with some live tunes for dessert.

Or try Mamasan across the road for pan-Asian tapas.

The Metro

China Town - China Town invented cheap and cheerful with its long streets of noodle houses and grills. BYO runs free, and if you play your cards right, you'll find the freshest feasts dished up in time to catch the support slot at the Metro.

We recommend Chinese Noodle Restaurant

Oxford Art Factory

Don Don - Fans of Japanese fare flock to Don Don noon and night for the hearty noodle soups, the sushi and the sashimi. A hole-in-the-wall eatery, it's always packed and the service can be a bit slow.

Hordern Pavilion

Golden Century - brings a touch of China to the Entertainment Quarter. Classic dishes like crispy beef and salt and pepper squid are all the fuel you need for a big night out. Snappy service, fresh ingredients and ample portions mean you'll be back again.

The Lansdowne

The Lansdowne - when it's not serving up free entertainment, $5 meals are on the menu at the Lansdowne. Old school pub grub rules over fine dining and beer topples wine. No nonsense service ensures you're finished in time to catch every act on the bill.

The Gaelic

The Shakespeare - The Shakey's menu is the gift that keeps on giving. $10 tempters range from Atlantic salmon to T-bone steak with all varieties of animal, vegetable and mineral in between. Food is fresh, servings plentiful and it's a smooth roll downhill to the Gaelic, a Sydney nightlife staple.

Enmore Theatre

Faheem's Fast Food - Flee the Enmore and flock to Faheem's for some fluffy naan and yummy curry. It's neither five-star nor ambient, but it's quick, tasty and reliable with fish, lamb and chicken served in an array of Indian dishes. Sidewalk traffic and gig-goers spill in and out quickly, with dishes arriving even quicker.
