By Sarah Norris

What makes you funny?
My attitude, it's the way I look at life. I grew up thinking in Greek and speaking in English. Need I say more?
Last time you cried
When I got to Burger King one minute after they had just closed.
Does your mother find you funny?
Yes. She is in a lot of my humour and sometimes even tries to give me ideas for new material. She is funny.
Finish this sentence: A priest, a Rabbi and a comedian walk into a bar…
Which of the three will be headlining the show?
Tell us something funny
Would you ask a plumber or an electrician the same question about their profession? That's funny.
What would you be doing if you weren’t a comedian
Probably running a restaurant in some obscure part of the world, or a wrestler. My wrestling name would be 'Souvlaki Thunder'.
Tell us about your ex
Split personality disorder.
Most embarrassing moment
During a show at Niagara Falls, I downed a shooter to look cool in front of these pretty girls and started to choke on stage, nobody had a clue whether I was acting or really choking. I could have died right there!
I only get out of bed for…
Pancakes, and I only get back into bed for more sex, even If I am alone!
Comedy and what should never mix
Lorazepam. Don’t ask.
The Israeli-Palestine conflict – laugh your way out of that
I think what they need is a diversion, like move in a whole bunch of Greeks in the middle of them, we will be eating and sleeping with their women, it would give them both someone to hate in common.
Best comedy moment
Hanging out in the green room at the Comedy and Magic Club in Hermosa Beach, California, with comedy legend George Carlin, way too fuckin' cool!
Benny Hill or Richard Pryor?
Benny Hill made me laugh, but Richard Pryor was on the cutting edge of comedy at a very interesting time in American history. Pryor for sure.
Most overrated comedians
Sketch comedy, it's like a step above charades.
Most overrated joke topic
Airplane food. Boring.
Describe your show
Self deprecating, observational, in your face, to the point and full of life experiences, add some egg/lemon and, voila you have me in a cup.
Angelo Tsarouchas Live is on Thu 17 April at the Enmore Theatre at 8pm, $53.50.
