Fatale attraction
Levity are rockin' the party at the Hollywood Hotel every Thursday with a range of DJs and musicians. This week they're boasting an (almost) all-lady line-up for Femme Fatale, which is why Andrew P Street quizzes DJs Michaella Solar-March and Vivienne Kingswood about how they plan to entertain you

Vivienne King show off her powers of headphone levitation
Got any surprises up your disc-slinging sleeves?
Michella Solar-March: I'm planning a set of entirely female artists!
Independent music is my thing, so you can expect Ebony Bones, Little Boots, Teyana Taylor, new Annie, Lykke Li, and Santogold. And keeping with the all-girl theme I'll throw in some classics from Aaliyah and TLC if I get time!
Vivienne King: Only the best collection of new local indie jams both released and unreleased, ever to grace the ears of the Surry Hills sect! You want to hear new Aussie music? I've got just the thing. I live, breathe, sleep and eat indie Aussie bands. Yes, you heard me, EAT!
What's going to make the Femme Fatale night undeniably superior to the other Levity nights?
MS-M: Boobs.
VK: That wily, velvet, feminine touch that gets you all squirming in your pants. When your fave tunes are handed to you on a silver platter by a bevy of goddesses, you're going to wonder how you'll ever go back.
Where do you go at night?
MS-M: Sticky [182 Campbell St] has become a new favourite of mine for a quiet drink. To party, I'll go anywhere there is good live music!
VK: That's easy. I simply put my ear to the ground and listen for the tunes... Hark! Follow a north by northeast trajectory, 300 paces passed the lone wolf, right, 500 paces as the crow flies, BINGO! I arrive where the music is good, the beer is cold and the dance floor is insatiable.
Will there be fierce competition between the Femmes on who's got the sweetest skillz?
MS-M: Of course not! Have you seen that movie Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? We'll be like that, but with CDs.
VK: There should be no competition between the ladies! We should be uniting as a force to kick the butts of all the cocky boys! Having said that, all is fair in music and DJing and at the end of the day, isn't everyone really just hanging out to see two chicks covered in jelly, wrestling in their jeans, topless?
Femme Fatale happens at the Hollywood Hotel on Thu 19 June with DJs Michaella Solar-March, Vivienne Kingswood, MTV's Ruby Rose and PhDJ.
