Sydney's Stickiest Dancefloors

Who has the stickiest dancefloor in Sydney? We at Time Out think it's a dead heat between these ones. At least no one notices when you spill your drink...

Sydney's Stickiest Dancefloors

Club 77 East Sydney
Perhaps it's the dungeon-like atmosphere or the strong smell coming from the bathrooms, but the stickiness of the floors isn't the first thing you notice about this uber-underground music venue.

Spectrum Darlinghurst
Ah, Spectrum. You never fail to entertain us with your colourful crowd, darkly lit dancefloor and myriad of indescribables that happen here. We've all spilled a drink or two at Spectrum, but it seems like the staff just aren't interested in mopping it up.

Candy's Apartment Potts Point
Perhaps one of the contributing factors to the stickiness of the dancefloor is Candy's subtle ability to just keep packing them in. It's hard not to spill a bevvie when you have a limited choice of routes (none) through the moshpit.

The Annandale Hotel Annandale
It's not entirely surprising that the Annandale may just win the stickiest of the sticky dancefloors - it was built back in the day when people thought it was a good idea to put carpet in a bar. And they don't appear to have had it steam-cleaned since then either.
