Peter Combe’s playful pop genius is back! The colourful performer who told us to “wash our faces in orange juice” and “clean our teeth with bubble gum” is playing in Sydney this coming weekend, and to celebrate Time Out is offering big kids the chance to win double passes to his Metro Theatre gig this Saturday night – as well as T-shirts, CDs and DVDs.
A cross-generational classic, Uncle Peter was The Wiggles to The Wiggles themselves, and boats a booming legacy of charming and clever books, records and videos that capture the essence of animated Australiana.
Best known for his silly songs Juicy Juicy Green Grass and Belly Flop On a Pizza?, Combe made a political cameo with his 2007 number Free David Hicks and has had more hits than Anthony Mundine.
