Summer in Sydney equals hot days, balmy nights and a calendar brimming with the hottest arts and coolest culture. Our very own premiere beachside cinema Flickerfest is calling Sydney filmmakers to submit their dark, delightful and downright despicable flicks for 2009's proceedings.
The award winning short film festival covers International film, Australian film and documentary with additional awards in cinematography, animation and composition.
Subject? It's open. Entry? It's free. All films should be under 30mins long and completed less than two years prior to submission dates. The Academy-accredited short film competition celebrates the latest in cutting edge shorts from Australia and beyond, touring the country nationally from January '09. Australian entries close on Fri 12 Sep while Internationals have until Fri 19 Sep to submit masterpieces. Hobbyists and professionals alike are encouraged to get their game on and cash in on the prizes up for grabs. Go on, we dare you.
