DIVA Awards 2008
On Monday night the Academy Awards of drag, the DIVA's unfolded at the very steps of the Paddington Town Hall.
Whilst every last inch of Sydney's drag talent stepped onto the red carpet, Time Out was there with our exclusive host and multi award nominee Minnie Cooper getting the scoop from the stars upon arrival.
The evening opened with a jaw-dropping number which set the bar for the entire evening. Mitzi Macintosh was awarded in the The Hall Of Fame category for her amazing twenty year career and also named Entertainer Of The Year, an honour which was acknowledged throughout the crowd with a standing ovation. Other winners included Natasha Knowles for the Rising Star Award, Time Out's gal pal Kitty Glitter for Most Popular DJ and Colleen Windsor for the Outstanding Achievement By An Individual honor among many others.
While the thunder bellowed outside the applause roared inside, and Time Out was there to capture every stunning gown, firmly set wig, and every inch of false eyelash of the 2008 DIVAs.
