Your fetish is my command

As one of the world leaders in the fetish wear design field, Lucrezia & De Sade have built their success on listening to their customers' needs and responding through their unique design solutions. Time Out invites Lucrezia & De Sade's owner and conceptualist Wayne Nicol to walk us through the design evolution of five of his signature pieces

Your fetish is my command

Metallurgy... Chips, dips, chain, whips...

"The wonderful thing about the way we bring designs to life is the collaboration with various talented people.   My role has been to firstly identify a market or a gap then to harness all of these resources to conceptualise the actual product. There is a certain organic charm when you isolate the life of an individual product and recount the process from conception to birth." Wayne Nicol

1 The Cyber Cock Cage
$135.00 (pictured with locking ring $85) For years we had been receiving various requests for something along these lines. Others had attempted this style of thing in metal but creating a three dimensional product from sheet just looked rustic and clumsy. This project was lovingly brought to life by a very talented CAD programmer with whom we have collaborated closely in many facets of metal working for over 10 years.  Because the final result is so futuristic we dubbed it the cyber cock cage. The name of course gives it away.  It is a male chastity device.

2 Chrome Cat Mask
$80 The chrome cat together with its companion metal Zorro took off for us in the US with the release of the film "Eyes Wide Shut".  Soon enough these masks were routinely popping up on MTV appearing in any number of film clips.  The bronze is such a great cast that these masks almost always fit just so delicately into the eye socket. The suede lining makes them extremely comfortable to wear even for long periods and really sets them off as a true display piece.

3 Studded Leather & Steel Cuff
$75.00 The evolution of this product started with a timid customer who had been given a pair of these cuffs by his partner and promptly lost one.  Fearing untold retribution he brought the other one to us in secret to see if we could replicate it. One of our metal workers came up with the idea of using a thin grade of stainless steel highly polished which is flexible, strong and won't crack.  The replica was so perfect that the customer couldn't tell the difference and neither could his girlfriend. He was happy and we had perfected a new technique to work with.

4 Horse Shoe Cock Ring
$45 This happy little apparatus came about from my fixation with the strong and highly recognizable silhouette of basic body jewelry designs.  I had always admired the simplicity of the Captured Bead Ring and the Horse Shoe Ball rings in body jewelry. Logically I thought why not put a bead in a metal cock ring?  The pressure behind the scrotum provides added stimulation for the active male partner during sex. A win-win situation.

5 Locking Cleopatra Collar
$190 This beautiful slave collar was literally years in gestation. It originates from off-cuts we have from our popular codpiece products. The regular requests for locking collars both male and female saw this design revisit the drawing board to be fitted with a fine new hinged back. The slave ring at the front starts its life out as a commercially available pull for a dresser draw
