Where's the snow? At Macquarie Ice Rink you don't have to wait for nature to cooperate before you can lace up your blades of glory. Shannon Langan says get your skates on!

Don't let the winter blahs keep your kids inside. The Macquarie Ice Rink is the perfect place to keep them
active over winter.
Morning skating sessions are treats for parents and kids alike. If mum needs a wake-up call, she can join the Coffee Club for a hot brew and also score a free group lesson at a discount.
For smaller figure skaters, the Kiddies Klub caters for two to five-year-olds, offering an hour's skating lesson, snow play time and lunch. Don't forget to take a hot chocolate break to thaw out!
There's fun aplenty for the older kids, too. Children aged four to six can get their bearings in the Tots 1 class, whilst the Basic 1 class looks after all of those aged seven and up.
Feeling really confident? Out to razzle dazzle on the ice? If so, then older ones (under 16s) can get on down to the Friday night disco.
If you want to get your littl'uns on course for the winter Olympics, figure skating lessons are offered in one-on-one or group sessions. Your triple axel needs work, if you ask us.
