Parklife
Amazing: that's the only term for this year's Parklife. First up, there's Missy Elliott - coming with a 27-person band'n'dancers - and a new album in the pipeline. Then there's the welcome return of the Dandy Warhols, who are pretty much honourary Australians. Groove Armada are also back, as are Soulwax, and Kele - him out of Bloc Party - is coming in solo mode.
Cut Copy perform their first shows in two years, and will be unleashing material from their forthcoming album, legendary mixologist Mix Master Mike will be on the decks, The Wombats bring the indie goodness, Midnight Juggernauts show off their new The Crystal Axis, Washington gets some full-band festival action… and there's also Darwin Deez>, Busy P, Memory Tapes, Uffie Classixx, Dan Black, Jack Beats, Delorean, Chiddy Bang, The Glitch Mob, New Young Pony Club, Ou Est Le Swimming Pool, Mike Brodinski, The Swiss, Wolf Gang, Sinden, DJ Mehdi, Jesse Rose, Bag Raiders, AC Slater, Grum, Gypsy and the cat, Ajax and Yolanda Be Cool vs Dcup. Tickets (both general admission and the brilliantly-titled "More Expensive Ticket", which gets you access to the Garden Bar and the amenities therein) go on sale through the website on Thu 1 July, so get prepared.
