Best burgers
Got a favourite burger in Sydney? We do and we've listed five of them for your delectation

1 Rockpool Bar and Grill, Sydney
Oh dear lord, this is a good burger. They may have just hiked the price from $18 to $22 but it's still worth it. Served on a fist-sized brioche bun, it's a juicy wagyu patty, pickles à la Zuni Café, Gruyere, tomato and lettuce. You could order chips on the side but the potato gratin is better. This burger + a Rockpool cocktail = heaven.
2 Plan B by Bécasse, Sydney
Grade nine wagyu patty, onion confitted in duck fat, pickled beetroot and cheddar on a brioche bun.
3 Ruby’s Diner, Waverley
Ruby D’s does an excellent burger with pickled beetroot and fried baby chats.
4 The Burger Joint, Darlinghurst
These burgers are bloody good. It’s all about the beetroot, barbecue sauce and pineapple.
5 Paul’s Burgers, Sylvania
You’re right under the overpass but it’s worth it for oldest-skool burgers and chips in a paper bag.
