Featherdale Wildlife Park perches on what was once the edge of the western suburban sprawl, where once it was possible to see these beasties in the wild. Now that the expanding suburbs of Sydney have populated what was previously farmland and bush, seeing native fauna isn't as easy as it used to be. Featherdale has one of Australia's largest private collections of Australian native animals and bird life and the emphasis is on the tactile experience - which allows you and the kids to pet the wallabies, feed the kangaroos, get within range of reptiles or snuggle up with one of the koalas.

Go undercover to see for yourself the night time world of the bilby and ghost bat or meet the lambs, piglets, rabbits and more in the Animal Nursery in the light of day. Make sure to check out the daily feeding schedules so you don't miss an opportunity.
