Ravesi's
If only every venue facing the spectacular Bondi Beach took full advantage of the view the way that Ravesi's does. This open-air bar pulls in a crowd wearing the uniform of smart casuals and Jackie Onassis oversized sunglasses; while it's within earshot of the beach, this isn't exactly a singlet-and-thongs kind of crowd. By day, Ravesi's attracts the kind of pack who like to be seen, so 180 degrees of bi-folding windows ticks plenty of boxes. Street level offers a great variety of on-tap beers, imported gems and a diverse wine list. Upstairs offers a surprisingly good selection of cocktails, and the bartenders are accomplished both on-list and off. Comfy lounges and stools by the windows fill up fast, so it's standing room only at the best of times. While weekdays are fairly steady, the crowd thickens to maximum capacity on weekend nights and bursts at the seams on Sunday afternoons. And yet Ravesi's generally evokes a relaxed vibe - populated as it is by singles seeking lazy summer romances with Brazilian tourists.
